Staying Connected to his Words

I think the trick is…

Get really good at failing at Bible reading plans.

You may be one of the 2% who can succeed at daily bible reading plans in which case, all power to you – ignore the rest of the post.

For the 98% of us – get really good at failing at them.  By which I mean – shoot for the moon, and when you hit the fence, dust yourself, hit reset and go again. Fail multiple times. Never let it put you off.  If you’re 63 days behind – no problem – plough away, or set another plan to fail at. Never tie it to your ‘closeness to God’. Just get up and go again.

A decade or two of a multitude of failures and you’ll actually have interacted with His words an awful lot.

Stick with it.
