Eager desire

for something you already have.

A bit like being in love.  You have the person, and you want the person.

This is the call and privilege of our relationship with the Spirit.

We have Him. And we are receiving Him. And we’re hungry for Him.

To the wackiest charismatic church he knew, Paul wrote,

“Eagerly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy…”

Spirit-filled disciple, stoke your desire to be filled with the Spirit today.
