Freedom, to serve, in love

Disciple, the less wrapped up you are in how you’re being seen, where your reputation ranks, what they might be saying about you…

The freer you are to actually serve others in love.

The gospel frees us from taking our self worth from what others seem to think about us, (we have a bigger truth – that we’re found and Fathered), and it compels us to bless others where we have opportunity.

At the extreme end it’s seen in disciples praying for their executors, exactly as the Lord did. Today, in your shoes, it may simply mean crossing that slightly uncomfortable social barrier to enquire how someone’s day is going.

It’s freedom, to serve, in love.
