By the time we get to the other side

You’ll be none the wiser as to why storms come.

You’ll have realised that just because he’s called you, and he’s with you, doesn’t mean he’s put a cloak of invincibility around you.

You’ll have a greater appreciation of your own weakness.

You’ll be awed at his ability to act.

You’ll be wishing you’d exercised more faith.

You’ll be grateful you left being sure on the shore, for going through tests and so obtaining a testimony.

You’ll still be left asking, “Who is this, who does such things?!”

 

This is the walk of discipleship. Let’s go.
