030 – Understand Hosea 6:6

I’ve got a homework assignment for you. Not a ‘copy your mate’s work just before the next class’ one either. This is a lifelong study, an obsession, a question you must get to the bottom of, boring people at parties with along the way. It’s way beyond Phd level. Here it is:

“Learn what this means: “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.”

Its intention, its outworkings, what it says about the One who said it. Go really deep on this one. Hint: It’s to do with Jesus being more like a doctor for the sick than a doorman for the Savoy.
