Tiny not Terrific

It’s probable the Jewish peasants on those Galilean hillsides were expecting a cataclysmic event.  God wrapping everything up in one foul swoop.  All wrongs righted, all enemies vanquished, all plunder taken in one go.  The Day of the Lord.

One of Jesus’ main teaching points was that the Kingdom of God isn’t like that.  It’s as small as a seed.  As invisible as yeast.  It starts out microscopically tiny, then grows exponentially, even while we sleep.  Till, over a longer than expected time, the seed eventually transforms into the tree that dominates the garden.

It’s probable, disciple, that you and your squad are expecting a cataclysmic event…
